Migraine Cure
By Sara | August 18, 2009
Migraines are severe headaches that can cause vision problems and nausea. There is no real migraine cure. There are however, things to relieve migraine symptoms and things that will help alleviate them. Taking two acetaminophen or ibuprofen does not usually help a migraine. People who are diagnosed with migraines usually have mediation prescribed to them. Migraine patients usually have a daily maintenance pill to help reduce the amount of migraines that they receive.
They are usually diagnosed with one or more pain pills. People with very severe migraine headaches usually have 3 or more pain medications. One is a little stronger than taking an over the counter pain reliever. The next pain prescription is usually a stronger pill that you can take if the first pills didn’t relieve the pain. If after taking this second pill, there is still pain present, the third prescription is supposed to be the strongest. These pills are supposed to be the migraine cure.
There are many migraine cure medications being sold over the counter. These should be taken with risk. Most of the advertised migraine cure medications are not FDA approved and may cause serious health risks. The best migraine cure is to stick with a family doctor approved medication regimen. Although not a cure, a steady regimen is proven to reduce the amount of migraines that are received.
Another thing to watch out for is rebound migraines. When searching for the ultimate migraine cure, pay attention to how different medications are making you feel. Some medications have been known to cause rebound migraines, migraines that are reoccurring from the effects of the pain reducer medication.

MIGRAINE SYMPTOM
If people are troubled by persistent headaches for prolonged period and if these headaches keep coming quite often, they often equate it with migraine. In reality, they are confusing frequently occurring normal headaches with migraine. The term migraine has its roots in Greek word which actually means “severe pain occurring on one side of the head”. To make it sound simpler, migraine could be defined as an excruciating and crippling headache and is more neurologic in nature. At times, the pain can become so severe and unbearable that people are tempted to end their lives to put an end to the suffering once and for all. The pain can be so blinding that the sufferer can lose concentration and feel utterly disoriented.
Each person affected by migraine may have a different kind of suffering and symptoms, but in majority of the cases, it is [...] Continue Reading…

Migraine Treatment Natural, not Imitrex
By Migraine Sufferer | August 15, 2007
I don’t know about you but I have found doctors exasperating!
Maybe I am an “against the grain” person but I am tired of doctors just giving me a pill to take care of whatever ails me! However, I am afraid that this is a sad commentary on our culture because it appears that is what most people want.
If everyone fought the “system” then the system would have to change.
So what has me on my soap box? Imitrex. The doctors have insisted that I put my son on Imitrex to give him migraine relief. Imitrex does nothing to alleviate the pain AND has the nasty side effect of making him feel like his scalp is on fire.
Anyway, I digress. I wanted to talk to you about natural migraine treatments. I have been given a boatload but none of them have worked. I continue to pray and research in hopes of [...] Continue Reading…
